Elon Musk stops the purchase of Twitter

The purchase of Twitter by Elon Musk is one of the most unexpected events of the year. However, it seems that this process was already found with a block, and it is not the shareholders or laws of the United States, but the same Musk. Through his official account, The Executive has revealed that he has stopped the purchase of Twitter , this due to new information that arose about the amount of spam account in the social network.

Elon Musk offers to buy 100% of Twitter for $54.20 per share
Recently, Elon Musk shared news of May 3, where it is mentioned that less than 5% of Twitter accounts are spam, or false. In this way, Musk mentioned that he has stopped the purchase of the social network, and the negotiations will be underway , until the company manages to provide data that supports this information. This was what he mentioned:

“Temporarily suspended Twitter Agreement waiting for details that support the calculation that false/spam accounts represent less than 5 % of users.”

Recall that one of Musk’s first promises when announcing the purchase of Twitter, is that he will eliminate all spam accounts that exist in the social network . Similarly, this revelation is announced just when senior executives of the company were fired by Parag Agrawal, current CEO of Twitter, even when the manager mentioned that this would not be the case.

On related issues, Elon Musk would return his Twitter account to Donald Trump. Similarly, Musk has been sued, and the purchase of the social network is in danger.

Editor’s note:

It sounds quite strange that Musk decides to stop the purchase for a reason as simple and banal as the amount of spam accounts. If the Executive intends to eliminate this, it should not matter how many profiles can be false. It would not even be a total surprise if at the end of the day this process is not concretized.
