Monteiro, born in the Brazilian Sao Paulo, played in the youth for the FC Hennef, the 1st FC Kaiserslautern, the TuS Koblenz and the Bonn Sc. In the latter he celebrated his debut in the Regionalliga West in December 2020 at the age of 18 years. Meanwhile, Monteiro can show 38 missions and a gate in the regional league. “Luis has very good facilities for an offensive wing player. He is fast, agile, goes into dribbling again and again and seeks the risk there. We want to develop these individual strengths and also help him to give him even greater efficiency,” Explains Fortunas NLZ Director Frank Schaefer. Monteiro is already the second summer new entry for the Düsseldorf U 23 after Maxim Schröder.
